Most chicken breeders sell you a bird and a receipt. We built something different: a portal.
Posha Club exists around one bloodline — the offspring of a rooster named Señor Posha, an extraordinary Silkie known for his impossibly round forehead, jet-black walnut comb, and a temperament so calm it borders on regal. Every chick that leaves our nursery carries his genetics, raised alongside six exceptional Silkie hens — Sprite, Perla, Duquesa, Gala, Luna, and Aurora — who form the foundation of the Posha lineage.
Why "premium," and why it matters
"Premium" gets used loosely in poultry circles. For us it means something specific: a small, intentionally limited flock; documented lineage back to a single named patriarch; and a level of ongoing care and communication that a typical backyard breeder transaction simply doesn't offer.
To our knowledge, no one else has built a dedicated membership portal around a Silkie bloodline — most breeders operate over Facebook groups, classifieds, or word of mouth. We think adopting a premium companion animal deserves better infrastructure than a DM thread.
What membership actually includes
When you apply to adopt and your reservation is confirmed, you don't just get a chick — you get access to a personalized portal that tracks your chick's journey across three phases:
- Hatched (weeks 0–3)
- Socialization (weeks 4–7)
- Ready for Adoption (week 8+)
Along the way, you receive weekly photo updates and stories directly from the nursery — the kind of window into your chick's early life that you'd normally only get by living next door to the breeder.
The color question
Silkies come in a range of colors, and we've found most adopting families have a real preference — ivory white, dove grey, or onyx black. Rather than assign birds arbitrarily, our application asks you to rank your top choices, so we can match as closely as possible to what you're hoping for.
A note on trades
Chick sex can't be determined with certainty at hatch — that's biology, not a Posha Club limitation. If the sex of your chick isn't the one you were hoping for, we're glad to arrange a trade, which tends to be easiest for families who reserve a pair rather than a single chick.
